SMS Terms of Service

American College of Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons (ACPPS)

The American College of Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons (“ACPPS,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) offers SMS (text message) communications to provide timely information regarding memberships, conferences, educational programs, webinars, and other association-related services.

By opting in to receive SMS messages from ACPPS, you agree to these SMS Terms of Service.

 

1. Program Description

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from ACPPS regarding:

  • Membership updates and renewal reminders
  • Conference and event registration confirmations
  • Webinar reminders
  • Educational opportunities
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) announcements
  • Association news and important updates
  • Customer service communications
  • Account notifications
  • Other customer care and account-related communications concerning ACPPS programs and services.

Message frequency varies depending on your interactions with ACPPS and the programs in which you participate.

2. User Consent

Your consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary.

Providing consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of membership or of purchasing any products or services.

You certify that you are the authorized user of the mobile phone number provided.

3. Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier’s plan.

ACPPS is not responsible for any charges incurred from your wireless provider.

4. Opting Out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying:

STOP

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message indicating that you have been removed from future SMS communications.

6. Supported Carriers

SMS message delivery depends on your mobile carrier.

ACPPS is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

Carrier participation may vary.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.

Information collected through our SMS program is governed by our Privacy Policy.

We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

8. Changes to the SMS Program

ACPPS reserves the right to modify or discontinue its SMS messaging program at any time without prior notice.

These Terms of Service may also be updated periodically. Continued participation in the SMS program constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
